PARAGRAPH FORMAT :: Scorpius is definitely a surprise. He is the kind of person that is fair and just, and makes sure that everything is peaceful between friends. He can't stand smoking and drinking, and the only time he does either of the two is when something is seriously wrong. The same thing with swearing; he hates swearing, unless he's seriously angry. He is very protective over any of his friends, and hates when people are mean to or bullying them. He hates when he has to argue, or get mad at people, or anything like that, but he can't help his temper when it really counts. He is patient and tolerant, and is trust-worthy to a fault. He'd never think badly of his friends, and if you do, well, you're in for some definite trouble if you voice or act on your feelings.
Scorp can be really sweet, most of the time. He is the kind of person that isn't two-faced at all, and hates false accusations against him. If you have prejudices against the Malfoy family, and you hate him because of them, well, that's your problem. Unless you actively do something against him, he'll leave you alone, and won't say one thing. He's pretty good at ignoring anyone that hates him, and doesn't hold grudges. Most of the time, he'll go to sleep that night, wake up the next morning, and won't remember what happened, and while you're mad at him, he'll act genuinely nice because to him, it wasn't that big of a deal. He still has a French accent, though not as deep as it used to be, and can speak French, of course, but he doesn't flaunt his abilities. Make fun of his accent, and you'll be dealing with one annoyed blonde. Even though he's got tolerance, he doesn't have any when it comes to his birth country. Overall, Scorpius is a really nice, cool guy, but if you punch the wrong buttons, you'll be dealing with one hot-tempered, confrontational blonde.
BIRTHPLACE :: Marseille, France[/blockquote]
HISTORY :: Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy was born on December 1st to Draco and Astoria Malfoy in Marseille, France. Draco, after causing such havoc in his family, listened to his wife and her wanting to move to France, and went to the oldest city in France, Marseille. Scorpius grew up by the water and the ports, and Draco worked for the French Ministry. Astoria was a houswife, and, as usual, did all the charity and other things that any other Malfoy wife would do. Scorpius didn't have a good childhood, though. He was raised to believe in the dark arts, and was taught dark magic from the get-go. Scorpius, from then, was a dedicated person, and always did what his father told him to. He was honest and fair, and liked hard-work. Even though he hated what he was being taught, he thought of it as making his father proud, and that was something that he wanted more than anything.
As he grew up, he learned how to sail, because of the ports nearby, and hung out with muggles. When his father found out, he had a fit, and forbid Scorpius from going by the water, telling him that muggles were beneath them. Even then, Scorpius told his father that he didn't believe that, and that he hated the fact that his father thought that people were below them. All he got was sent to his room for the rest of the night, no dinner, and his freedom lost. From then on, Scorpius was only allowed on the grounds of their Manor, and he wasn't allowed to talk to any of his former-friends, or allowed back on the water. That saddened him immensly. He worked hard at whatever spells his father told him to learn, hoping to win back that trust and that freedom that had been taken from him. And he did, eventually. At the age of nine, he got the chance to go back to the ports, and even though he was a years' rusty, he did go back to the boating, and his former-teacher; his old best friend's dad.
The perfection of his life didn't last long, though. He pretended that he didn't hear his parents arguing, and the fact that his mother wanted to stay in France, but his father wanted to go back ton England. Scorpius had never been to England, and didn't even know how to speak English. From then, though, his father started to teach him his second language, the one that he would need when they went back to England. By ten, he could speak it almost perfectly. That wasn't a good year for him, though. That was the year his parents divorced. Astoria kept the Manor in France, and stayed there, and Draco picked his life up, took his son, and went to live in England, taking the old manor in Wiltshire, England, and living there. Draco, who had been Head Auror back in France, got transferred to that job in England, the man who had been it before dying of natural causes a month prior. People were shocked to see the Malfoys back in England, but no one said anything.
Scorpius missed France dearly, and wanted to move back, but that wasn't an option. He adjusted quickly, even though he missed France, and got his Hogwarts letter only a few months later. Draco preached endlessly about his son being in Slytherin, and how he had to become one, and how there was no other house fit for a Malfoy. Little did Draco know that he had literally been the one who had raised his son sort-of the same way he had been raised, but had let him have the freedom that had turned him into a different person. When he was called up to the stool to get sorted a month or two later, there was no hesitation when the hat called out "HUFFLEPUFF!" The hall had gone silent, and there was no clapping for the young Malfoy from the Slytherin table. The others clapped awkwardly, and Scorpius felt seriously left out. He didn't know about the Slytherin legacy of the old money Malfoys, and found that out a few days later from his now newly-made-enemies of Slytherin.
Scorpius got owl upon owl from his father, saying that he was disappointed and that he 'didn't know how close to being disowned he really was', but Scorpius couldn't find it in himself to care. He made sure that his father knew that, and settled in with the rest of the students in his house. Grade-wise, over the years, he did very well. He worked and studied, and even though he wasn't very book-smart, his common sense lead him through what he couldn't figure out. He was strong with practical magic, and that was no surprise to Draco, since he had been training him from a very young age. He took interest in Lily Potter, though he'd never really say anything about it. He became popular, though not in the way most would expect. He got a lot of prejudice from most people, because he was a Malfoy, but he overlooked all of that, because he thought it was stupid, and immature. He made many friends, and got a lot of looks because of his blonde hair, high cheek-bones, and warm, deep brown eyes. He was handsome, and so the female population immediately took to him, unless they were Slytherins, and they hid their feelings because he was a Hufflepuff.
The years went by quickly, and nothing much changed. Scorpius' relationship with his father never improved, but more, got worse. He and his father got farther and farther apart, not that they were ever close, and it was common to hear yelling in the home. Even though Scorpius had a world of patience, it was thin when it came to Draco. Scorpius had no tolerance with ignorance, and made sure that that was known. Even though his father couldn't stand his rudeness, all he could do was send him over to Narcissa and Lucius, who tried to turn him into the kind of boy Draco had once been, the pride of the family, but it never worked. He still stayed the same as always, and kept his friends, making more over the years. Even though he wasn't the typical Malfoy, he was still well-liked, and popular for more of the right reasons. Even though Draco was threatening, and looking for a girl to participate in, an arranged marriage, Scorpius continued to date and look around for the right girl, ignoring his father and the arranged marriage situation completely, not worried at all because he knew he wasn't getting married to whatever girl his father picked out for him. Overall, Scorpius is a definite surprise, but a good kid.

OTHER CHARACTERS :: None...yet. xD
ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE ::Luke gave an aggravated sigh as he walked down to the lake. He was so sick of calling home, and getting a dial tone. It freaked him out when his mother didn't answer the home. He knew it was bad to leave her at home by herself all summer, but what choice did he have? With all the high schoolers grabbing up the summer jobs like children and candy from a pinata, and him with no diploma or degree to go get a good job made it a requirement for him to travel elsewhere to find enough money to send home to pay the bills. And half of the time, his mother used the money to feed her habit! It agonized him, but he couldn't exactly do anything to stop her. He didn't know how to get her to stop, because she wouldn't listen to him, and so he left her alone. He had tried to hire a psychologist, but he didn't make enough to handle their costs.
He sighed as he got to the lake, pulling off his shirt, and throwing it to the side of the dock where his towel now lay, knowing that most of the kids wouldn't be here, but would be in their classes, of sorts. He knew that maybe one of the counselors would be around, but he doubted the lake. Even though the day was really hot, they were probably taking a well-deserved break in their cabins or something. He spent most of his time in the outdoors, exploring the forests or walking around camp, while he wasn't doing his job. He took a deep breath and ran from his position and jumped into the lake, head first. The cold water was jolting, and very pleasant on a day like today. His head popped up, and his blonde hair looked darker with the water.` He shook it slightly, getting the excess water out and rubbing at his eyes. It was so refreshing.
Luke swam a few laps, and then just floated on his back. It was refreshing to have both the sun on him and be in the water. He felt eyes on him, but he pretended that he didn't. He hated being stared at, which happened quite often when he was at Camp Rock, since, after all, he was a counselor. He thought of himself as an average talent, and didn't really think that he would've even had enough talent to get into Camp Rock as a regular camper, but no one knew that except for his father, who had taken that secret with him to the grave. Luke suddenly shivered and swam back over to the edge of the lake, pulling himself up and out of it. He hated thinking of his father. He and his dad been really close, and when he had died, Luke's life had gone to hell. Not that he had told anyone that. Of course, his friends had gotten worried, but he had acted alright, for them, and for his mother. He had to stay strong, if only for his mom. He rolled his eyes as he grabbed his towel, which had been thrown to the side of the dock. He ruffled it through his hair with a slight frown on his face. His thoughts had ruined his mood, for the moment.
