credit to STALK ME REDNECK @ caution Victoire didn’t like the Hospital Wing. She never liked hospitals at all. She did almost everything she could not to walk past it on her normal days. Take a longer route to her class. Hide behind someone and avert her eyes if she had to walk past it. It was a little extreme, she knew, but she thought she kept it under wraps. Right now though, she was right smack in the middle of the Hospital Wing with another girl. It would be something to say she got into a duel with this girl and ended up winning but had suffered massive injuries to herself. But Victoire was not the duelling sort. She may like experimenting with spells and all that, but she wouldn’t actually duel someone in the middle of the hallway.
That would be the two Slytherin girls who were fighting over a guy. Poor Victoire had not even witnessed it. All she did was to turn a corner to see what the noise was about and she got promptly hit in the face by a chunk of wall. Apparently one of the girls had used a blasting spell and caused a mini explosion. She hadn’t been hurt badly, she just got a rather deep cut to her cheek and several minor ones on her hands that she used to break her fall. The Healer was looking at another victim of the duel, who got it so much worse then Victoire. The redhead watched as the younger year yelped in pain as her arm got twisted back into the correct shape. Merlin only knew what sort of spell had hit her. She should consider herself lucky that she got cuts.
A drop of blood landed on her uniform and Victoire grimaced as she looked at her hands. She could have healed this herself, but the Professor who broke up the fight insisted she go to the Hospital Wing. He had sensed Vic’s hesitance to go to the Hospital Wing and instructed a Prefect to escort her and the other girl up. The redhead sighed. Wrong place at the wrong time. How very annoying. At least nothing else was going wrong today. She was pretty sure her hair was messed up, her uniform was dirty and well, she didn’t exactly look her best.

Teddy looked over his Defense Against the Dark Arts notes, which was written in his overly small messy cursive. He knew that his friends wouldn’t be able to understand it but they would try because sometimes going to classes wasn’t their thing so they would copy his notes to see what was taught that particular class. This class was almost over and Teddy wanted to make sure he had down everything, including the details of their essay that would be due in two classes. Defense Against the Dark Arts was one of Teddy’s favorite classes. He was told from his godfather that his dad had taught the class and had been the best Professor his godfather had. It made Teddy love the class more knowing this class could’ve been his dad’s favorite – it made him feel close to his father in a way. As the covered the material in class Teddy would always wonder what his father thought on certain subjects.
“Class dismissed!” The professor told the class, to the sound of chairs shuffling as everyone stood up from their chairs. “Don’t forget to do your essays! Two and a half pieces of parchment minimum! Make sure you bring your wands next class as we get into more practical lessons! Brush up on some dueling while you’re at it because I will be testing your skills!”
Teddy placed his book and parchment into his over the shoulder bag before taking it off the chair and placing it on his shoulder. Teddy had a free block this period, so he wasn’t in a rush to make it to his next class. After his free block he would go to Transfiguration for a double period. Teddy left the room and was slowly strolling down the corridor when he overhead people talking, this conversation particularly caught his attention.
“Did you hear about the two girls dueling over some guy?” the girl was laughing in amusement as she told the story. “Poor Weasley, got caught in the crossfire.” Even though she said ‘Poor Weasley’ you could tell she didn’t feel sorry for whichever Weasley it was.
“Which Weasley?” Teddy wondered, asking the two girls that were walking in front of him, they turned around and one of the girls shrugged. She didn’t question why Teddy was interested, everyone knew he was like an extended member of the Potter-Weasley clan.
“The redhead one. She’s in the hospital wing.” Well, that narrowed it down. Teddy thanked the girl before rushing off towards the wing, he was grateful he was already on the same floor. He hoped that it wasn’t Victoire that was hurt, be he also felt a bit of selfishness due to their being other redhead Weasley girls. It was like he was thinking it’d be okay if it Molly or Lucy as long as it wasn’t Victoire, thoughts like that weren’t okay and made him feel bad. He couldn’t help that he had strong feelings for Victoire, unfamily like feelings.
Teddy made it to the hospital wing and quickly walked in. He noticed the Healer shooting a spell to turn a girl’s arm back the way it was posed to be. Standing right by was a redhead girl, and even though her back was turned to him Teddy already knew it was Victoire. He could just tell. “Victoire!” he called, slowly walking to the girl – as if he had just been carelessly strolling by instead of running down around the third floor like a Hippogriff with its head cut off. “I heard about some duel and you getting caught in the cross fire, are you alright?" he asked her, when he finally made it to her. He noticed how disorderly her appearance was, but still she was the best looking girl at Hogwarts. She had scratches on her face and Teddy reached out and gently brought his hand up to the deep gash on her cheek. He didn’t touch it though, as he let his hand fall numbly to his side. “That looks painful.” Way to state the obvious, Teddy.
