The first few days of classes had easily been the most tiring in Lea’s career at Hogwarts. It probably didn’t help that she had gotten drunk on the very first day before classes began, and she never felt fully well after that. Teachers acted as though they didn’t know any of the partying had gone on, which the brunette assumed, was completely false. Still, she was about to say anything about it. Some of her teachers, she noted, had started off the school year miserable and gave their students a few essays and tests already. Lea was unfortunately one of those students. She had already had three tests and two essays she had to study for and complete.
After classes today, she sat down and started to try and complete her Divinations essay on dark signs and dangerous messages that could be determined from tea leaves. Tea leaves? That was something she learned when she was in her third year. Although the essay topic was annoying, she had no real reason to complain. Divination was one of her best subjects, and she excelled at it with very little effort. About thirty minutes later, she had finished a good two paged essay which she was proud of, and moved onto the next subject.
She decided to give her hand a break and study for her Defense Against the Dark Arts exam that was quickly coming up. That was a class Lea had to try to earn a good grade in, since the Dark Arts usually bothered her. She flipped though one of her textbooks and began trying to read it. A group of fourth years came into the Gryffindor common room, talking about how they hated charms and how their teacher was a complete idiot. Lea peered over the top of her book and looked at the girls, whom seemed to be getting obnoxiously louder. “Uhm, excuse me? Could you keep it down?”
The sixth year had gotten her peace and quiet for a good five minutes, until more and more people came into the common room. Frustrated with the noise, Lea slammed her book, collected her things, and made her way out of the common room. The Gryffindor tower was on one of the highest floors, so it took Lea forever to make her way to the grounds. During this time, Lea decided where she could go to at least have some quite. The Quidditch pitch? No, too many people flying around. The Whomping Willow? Hell no, only if she was desperate, and even then no. The Clock tower’s courtyard? Lea froze and smiled, deciding it was the perfect place to study, and pretty much ran the rest of the way there as to not waste anymore time.
Opening the book once more after finding a comfortable spot underneath a tree, Lea began to review for her test. She was semi out of breath, and her heart was racing, but she tried to ignore it. She took off her cloak and put it in her lap under her book, finally able to have her quiet except for the ticking of the giant clock, and the light chirping of birds.
