Andromeda Black was still not entirely sure how she felt about this time shift situation. On one hand, it was quite fascinating being in a different time period. She wondered if she had any descendants attending the school. It was odd to think that so many students from so many different eras were present at Hogwarts in the year 2022. Andromeda had winced a little when she did the math. That would put her 'current' self at nearly 50 or 60 years of age. Andromeda was not quite as vain as her sisters, but she certainly did not want to think of herself as that old.
Thus far, she had not come across anyone she might know. Perhaps this was for the better...Andromeda could not help but think how many paradoxes may come as a result of this fiasco. Andromeda didn't even know who she was to marry! Granted, she was eying Ted Tonks, but really, what were the chances of marrying him? Her mother would force her to marry a pureblood, she was sure of it. Part of her didn't mind going along with the charade, but another part of her wanted to get away from it all. The fact that she loved her family was the entire problem. Despite how many of them treated her. With Bella, it was most poignant. Bella would call her a disgrace and a disappointment to the Black family name. Her mother and father, though not quite as vocal, still showed signs of being disappointed by their middle daughter (especially dear old mom). Cissy was at least partially understanding, although Andromeda feared that even she was starting to slip away.
Was marrying the guy she truly wanted to worth all of that? Andromeda honestly wasn't sure at this point in her life. What if the marriage did not work out?
All of these thoughts went through Andromeda's head as she sat on a bench in the gazebo near the covered bridge. Thus far, she had yet to meet anyone that might be of consequence to her in the future (or past, for that matter). It was rather boring, but Andromeda wasn't sure that she wanted it any other way. After all, what if she found out something she didn't want to hear? Unfortunately, Andromeda had a feeling that she would be disappointed in some form no matter what happened...
