naturally auburn, but she's taken to dying it a more pronounced red in the past year.
EYE COLOUR:
bluey-green
HEIGHT:
5'5"
WEIGHT:
124lb
BODY TYPE:
slim and fit
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES:
one thing that is apparent to all who meet her, is that lily potter is beautiful, and she knows it. she's got amazing clear skin, enchanting eyes, and long gorgeous hair. her features and bone structure in her face are almost pixie-like; delicate and feminine. her hair is naturally a light auburn red, but over the years she has taken to dying it a rich, dark red colour that makes her look more mature. it might be a bit too unnatural for some people's tastes, but she loves it and it is likely the most distinguishing thing about the young girl. she has both ears pierced, as well, though the earrings that she wears in them are nothing flashy. simple studs are all she wears.
PERSONAL STYLE:
lily likes to look good, but she is not one of those girls who constantly obsesses about her appearance and every little detail of it. she likes to be unique, but doesn't need to get recognition for her appearance to be happy. she does hate blending in with the crowd by wearing a uniform, but that's obviously a part of the school policy so she can't do anything about it. sometimes she will try to set herself apart from the dull old cloaks and uniforms by changing little colours on her uniform, maybe not too noticeable but enough to make her feel set apart. for instance, she might change a black sleeve cuff on her cloak to a navy colour.
when she's not wearing a uniform and has more freedom with her outfit, lily likes to be stylish. she can make herself comfortable in almost any outfit, as long as she doesn't focus on its uncomfortable aspects, so that isn't really much of an issue to her. she doesn't consider herself to be vain, she just thinks that she should dress well and not sloppily. she believes that she can't expect others to respect her unless she treats herself right first.

AND ALL YOU KNOW ,
AND ALL YOU KNOW ,
and how you speak
------------------------------------------------------------
quidditch, reading for fun (when she finds a good book), freedom, family, magic, animals, care of magical creatures, transfiguration, potions, holidays, gryffindors, beginnings of school years, birthdays, celebrations, her stuffed bear (shh, don't tell), snow, freshly fallen snow, thunderstorms, stories about when her father was a student, the forbidden forest, family, succeeding, and friends.
CHARACTER DISLIKES:
divination, slytherins, death, studying, violence, really hot days, exams, projects, history of magic lessons, herbology, detentions, restrictions, muddy snow, bitches backstabbers and the like, being judged, failing, losing, and when expectations of others on her are too high.
GOALS:
to be an auror or professional quidditch player, to be a prefect, and to be the quidditch captain someday.
BOGGART:
the deaths of those close to her, specifically her family.
PATRONUS:
a silvery panther- it's a pretty simple memory: the day she finally came to Hogwarts, saying goodbye to her parents as she was getting on to the train.
DEMENTOR:
she often had recurring nightmares when she was ten where her father came screaming at her, yelling that she was a squib and therefore a disgrace to the family. the nightmares ended after about five months, but the memory of them still terrifies her. basically, her greatest fear is letting her parents down.
AMORENTIA:
hot chocolate, roasted marshmallows, the air after a fresh rain shower, and cherries.
BASIC PERSONALITY:
there isn't a wizard in the world who doesn't know the story of lily's family- or rather, the story of her father. the potter name is plastered in every book and newspaper a million times, singing the praises of harry james potter, the boy who lived; the infant who destroyed the most evil wizard of all time by doing nothing, and the teenager who again destroyed he-who-must-not-be-named through the aid of friends and intelligence. harry potter, lily's father, is practically the saviour of both the wizarding and muggle world. yeah, you could say that lily's got a lot to live up to.
she handles the pressure quite well. lily's got a distinct personality of her own; she refuses to hide behind the shadow of her father's name. at school she's friendly, bubbly, and energetic. she says things as she sees them, and isn't afraid of being judged for who she is. unfortunately, sometimes she doesn't know when to shut up and her comments can sometimes anger people. she says things without thinking sometimes, especially when her friends are around her because she feels safe, and is very capable of insulting other people.
lily doesn't set out to make fun of others. she doesn't mean to be a bitch. but sometimes the rush of being with friends and wanting for them to laugh at what she says makes her be a bit cruel to other people. popularity does that to the best of us. when she's away from peer pressure she's a sweetheart to be around. she'll help the first years, chat with the outcasts, and maybe even give a friendly, or at least tolerable, word to a slytherin or two.
she does well in school, keeping fair grades, but to say that she's at the top of her class would be a lie. lily daydreams too often, and doesn't pick up on crucial things in class needed to succeed in the day's lesson. she's been known for blowing up a potion or two down in the dungeons because she didn't listen to the professor's instructions to put one ingredient in before the other, or put in the wrong ingredients altogether. what she lacks in work ethic, however, she makes up for in eagerness and bubbliness on those days when she wants to do well in class. if she feels her grades are too far behind, she'll ask a teacher if she can do anything for extra credit. it's in the class that her grades suffer because of her daydreaming; outside of class it is, somehow, easier for her to focus on work.

BIOGRAPHY:
lily is well known, though not through any feat of her own. all of her fame and her family's fame is owed to her father, harry potter, the boy who lived and finally vanquished voldemort twenty-five years ago. it's always been hard for lily to keep herself out of the spotlight, unless she flat out refuses to tell people her last name, which she has been known to do quite often when she was younger. now that she's older and well known at hogwarts for being herself, she can't pull that stunt any longer.
born on a rainy fourteenth day of may fifteen years ago, lily was the last child and only daughter born to harry potter and his wife once known as ginny weasley. her older brothers, albus and james, were, well, boys, and lily was often alienated and behind when the boys went off for fun. despite that, as they grew up, lily always maintained a good relationship with her brothers. maybe not the absolute best that it could be, but it was good enough to keep her happy.
being a part of the weasley family through her mother, lily has a lot of cousins. she's among the youngest, though there are a few other fifteen year olds in the family. lily got along with all of her cousins, but particularly with hugo, the son of her father's best friends. hugo was like a brother to lily because they grew up together and were the same age. since she was young lily watched cousin after cousin head off to hogwarts, and always dreamed of when her time would come. she'd grown up with tales of her parent's days at hogwarts, the friends they met, the teachers, the classes, the adventures... she couldn't wait to finally get to experience some of those amazing things herself. but every year accompanying cousins and her brothers to the hogwarts express, holding on to her mother's hands and waving as the train sped away, was extremely frustrating to the little girl. she really believed that she was old enough to go to the school with everyone else, but hogwarts rules said otherwise.
finally after years of waiting, lily got the letter. she wouldn't let it out of her hands for the first day, her mother had to tell her ten times every hour to calm down and be quiet. of course, lily had always known that she would be going to hogwarts, but having the letter in her hands made everything so much more real. she'd always had that lingering fear that something would go wrong and she wouldn't be accepted to the school, but her fears were gladly false.
her first trip to diagon alley for supplies of her own went smoothly. she got a wand, her books, and an owl. though she begged her parents for a continuous hour as they shopped, they wouldn't allow her to get a broom for her first year at the school, so she had to wait on that. when the day finally came to go to hogwarts everything again went smoothly. she made new friends, bounced off of the walls from excitement, and took in all of the scenes around her with wide, eager eyes. the sorting hat debated between sending her to hufflepuff or gryffindor, but the final decision sent lily to her parent's house. she was quick to learn in her classes, though certainly not a genius her effort made up for what she lacked in natural talent. especially for her first year of schooling, her eagerness to learn shone through her lessons like a beacon.
lily made the quidditch team for the first time in her second year. she failed the initial tryouts, losing to older students as chasers. halfway through the season however, when a sixth year chaser was forced to leave the team for some personal reasons, there were tryouts held again, and lily was chosen much to her delight.
in her third year, lily again made the quidditch team, this time as keeper because the previous keeper had graduated hogwarts the year before. in her fourth year she decided to take a break to focus on her studies, but planned on coming back in her fifth year, so we'll see what happens.

RP SAMPLE:
There was nothing like the satisfaction of seeing someone jump because of his presence. This sort of jumping was a bit less fear induced than he usually preferred to see, but he wasn't aiming for the 'get the hell out of my way before I beat you into the ground' approach today. Nah... usually he would. He liked seeing the fear in younger student's eyes, knowing that he was more powerful than they would likely ever be with mere presence alone, but he didn't want to scare this girl away. Where was the fun in that? Let him spend a bit of time around her, figure out whether she was worth his time and effort, and then figure out whether to make her run in terror or not. Yeah, Blake was pretty confident that if he didn't like what he found about her he could get her running at a word. After all, she was younger than him, looked to be about a foot smaller, and she was out here all alone without a group of friends to support her. It was always easier to intimidate others when they were alone, whether in the school or out in the wilderness far away from anyone else like this girl was.
But why let a pretty little thing like her realize what kind of a guy he was without purpose? After all, maybe there was no reason to scare her away. Pretty and young as she was, what could he gain by chasing her away? "Maybe I have reason," he responded, looking down at her as she closed the sketchbook. "Doodles? Stickmen are doodles. What I saw in your book was definitely leaning more toward art." No harm in a bit of flattery. Blake himself was more blessed in the muscle department than any other sort of talent. The guy didn't have the patience for music, or the focus for art, or... well, anything else, really. He had never had the desire to get himself involved in anything when he was young that might have uncovered a talent. He was a decent beater, he supposed, having played a few quidditch games with friends when he was young, but he'd never had the patience to play on a school quidditch team where he would be forced to interact with mudbloods and blood traitors. Then again, it would be pretty satisfying to be able to whack bludgers to the backs of mudbloods heads and claim it as a simple game accident... but the negatives of the game, like being forced to play alongside Potter and Malfoy (a prime example of a good bloodline gone wrong) would have outweighed the positives.
"Nah, I spend most of my free time watching them through their dorm windows," he smirked, joking of course. He liked his girls, but the seventh year wasn't a pervert. If a girl was worth his time, he'd take the direct approach rather than sneak around like some nerd who knew he could never get what he wanted. "I only sneak up on the really cute ones."
All right, enough with the cheesy lines. Heeding the voice of reason in his head, Blake sat down on the ground near the girl, far enough away to avoid being creepy, and got a better look at her. She was definitely younger than him... sixth, maybe fifth year? The hair color was definitely interesting. She could be a metamorphagus, but that was only a possibility. Chasity, a girl his age and in his own house, had a similar hair color but was definitely not a metamorphagus. She just thought the color suited her. Apparently dying your hair weird colors was a common style, even in the wizarding world. Or maybe it was just magically dyed? Either way, in Blake's opinion the color suited this unnamed girl much more, but he was no stylist to know what did or didn't look good to the rest of the world. He just knew his own personal preferences. "I'm Blake," he held out his hand in case she wanted to shake it, debating whether give his surname at the moment. Maybe it wouldn't be best, considering all of the drama from the past Summer. Ah, screw it. "Blake Avery."
