PERSONAL STYLE: james does care about his appearance. he likes to know that he looks charming and handsome. however, he isn't overly preoccupied with his looks or his clothing. most of the time, he'll simply wear his robes. when at home or on the weekends, he's usually seen in a pair of jeans or slacks with a nice button-up or polo shirt.

GOALS: James wants to make his father proud. He feels that the best way to go about doing that would be to follow in his footsteps and aspire to one day become Head Auror.
BOGGART: James' greatest fear is losing his entire family. He sees the four of them being taken from him, with him being entirely helpless.
PATRONUS: James' patronus is a stag, most likely because his namesake's was as well. His best memory is from when he first got on a broom, thanks to his father's help. He will never forget how proud and happy his father had looked that day when he began zooming around on his first broomstick.
DEMENTOR: James' worst memory is from his third year at Hogwarts. He nearly failed one of his classes due to receiving poor marks. He knew it was from not doing his work and not trying hard enough. His parent's looks of disapproval and disappointment were enough to make him cry. He felt like a complete failure, and he had never seen his parents looking so angry and upset with him.

His parents often tell him that he gets his humor from Fred and George, which is a compliment to him. Sometimes, he can take his joking a bit too far and border on the teasing side. He means well, he just tends to get caught up in the attention he gets from being funny and forgets that he can be somewhat harsh. A time or two he’s been a bit rough on his brother, Albus.

Adventure has always been part of his family history. Naturally, James would be an adventure lover as well. Just like his father and his namesakes, James is always looking for something thrilling and exciting to do. He doesn’t settle for just sitting around the common room—he needs a thrill. He’s always seeking some dangerous feat that needs accomplished. Whenever an opportunity presents itself for him to be daring, he doesn’t hesitate. He loves the adrenaline rush that adventure gives him. However, his adventurous side tends to get him in troublesome situations. He’s had his fair share of detentions and consequences, but nothing can stop him from going out and looking for adventure. It’s just a natural instinct for him, and he can’t help the fact that excitement and adventure practically runs through his veins.

He refuses to back down, even if he is presented with facts that go against his argument. He’s a natural fighter, like his father, and he tends to overly stand up for his beliefs to a point that’s annoying. His stubbornness has gotten him in quite a bit of trouble, not only in the classroom, but also at home.

James loves the ladies. There isn’t a thing he appreciates more than a pretty girl. Therefore, he never passes up an opportunity to get to know someone with a pretty face. He isn’t overly obnoxious with his flirtations, but he is very persistent. Flirting to him is simply fun. It’s a way of relaxing. After a long day of school work, there is nothing better than some simple, flirty banter. He will flirt with literally anyone, which can be slightly dangerous. There have been times when girls tend to think that his flirting means that he wants a relationship with them, which is far from the truth. That doesn’t stop him though. He may feel bad if girls perceive his flirting in the wrong way, but most people know that he’s just a naturally flirty guy. He never takes things too far, though, in terms of flirting. He isn’t touchy feely, he just enjoys the flirty talk.

James has always been outgoing, a trait he gets mostly from his mother. He tends to be a complete social butterfly. He would consider himself rather popular. Although he has his fair share of enemies, his friends far outnumber them. Upon meeting someone new, he is the one that starts new conversation and tries to win them over. He enjoys friendships. He will talk your ear off, if you let him. There is rarely a time when James wants to be completely alone. Yes, he does have times when he wants to just relax with one or two people, but he isn’t a fan of being completely alone. He is always the life of the party, always wanting to be the center of attention. He loves having all eyes on him. James is a true socialite, and he loves to meet new people and make new friends.

James has a very protective, defensive side of him. Especially when it comes to people he is close with or loves. He would do anything for people that he truly trusts, and he would protect them until the day he dies. His little sister is the number one person he is protective of. He watches her like a hawk, making sure that guys stay away from her. He loves her dearly, and he refuses to let anyone hurt her. Like a guard dog, James will protect people he loves very seriously.

Determination is another trait that runs through his family tree. Both of his parents had fierce determination in everything they did. It was only natural that James inherit his parents’ determination. He sets his mind to everything he does, no matter how little the situation is. Of course, he does tend to slack when it comes to school, but other than that, he is incredibly determined. When it comes to quidditch, he gets almost too determined that he can be a bit of a baby if he loses. Losing isn’t his strongest attribute. If there is something that he wants, James doesn’t stop until he gets it. And if he doesn’t, he can be a bit cranky.

Going along with his humor and adventure, James loves mischief. Just like his namesakes, James would do anything for a bit of mischief and fun. Yes, it can get him into trouble at times, but James is always the one that is sneaking around in the middle of the night, looking for trouble. He is the perfect candidate to receive his father’s Marauder’s Map. He doesn’t try to do things that could be harmful, but he has taken things a step too far in the past. Just like his humor, he tends to over take his mischief and do things that aren’t appreciated by everyone. Whenever he gets involved in some sort of mischief, there is no stopping him. His mind could plot up marvelous plans for hours on end, and there is nothing better than spending a Friday evening with his friends, plotting some terrific, mischievous plan.

One of James’ flaws tends to be his nosiness. He doesn’t even attempt to stay out of peoples’ business. Eavesdropping is one of his strongest skills, and he loves to know what everyone is doing and when. He doesn’t mind meddling in peoples’ love lives, and he does tend to play matchmaker. Sometimes, his nosiness is key in solving situations and getting out of trouble, but other times, it’s annoying. Whenever it comes to his siblings, he is the worst. He doesn’t let anyone near his sister (guys at least) and he tends to torture his brother for no reason at all, even if he doesn’t mean it. James can’t help being nosey, it comes along with his outgoingness. Especially when it’s so easy to overhear someone’s conversation, he isn’t going to pass that up.

Who wouldn’t be confident if your father was Harry Potter? James’ confidence stems from many different things. Being his father’s son is actually very stressful to James. However, he does tend to have a confidence about him. It isn’t exactly from the fact of who his father is. He just has a confident personality. He believes in himself and his magical abilities. He knows that he received both of his parents’ skills with magic. Therefore, he and his siblings are only bound to be blessed with wonderful magical potential. James just simply knows that he is funny, and he knows that he has a magnitude of friends. He can’t help being confident.

One of his best characteristics, James is incredibly loyal. Once you have earned his trust, there is no going back. He would do anything for someone he loves and trusts. First, someone must gain his trust, which can be somewhat tricky. He only lets those that are most worthy into his inner heart. Once you’re there, he would go to the end of the earth for you. His loyalty is his number one quality. Tell him a secret and tell him not to tell, and he won’t. His loyalty makes him a great friend for those who are willing to get to know him and earn his trust.

James doesn’t let people see him worrying, ever. His number one fear is that he won’t make his father proud. His father has never pressured him to be anything spectacular, but for some reason or another, James feels the ultimate need to make his father proud. James can sometimes try much too hard to make his father proud, when part of him knows he doesn’t need to. He also worries about his relationship with Albus, which can sometimes be rocky, simply because James knows he can be a jerk. James also worries about Lily, because he doesn’t want to see her hurt. Overall, James worries quite a lot, but he doesn’t let it show, ever.

BIOGRAPHY: James Sirius Potter was the first child born to Ginevra Molly Weasley and Harry James Potter. His parents were more than excited when they had learned they were having a child. When James was born, there was no doubt as to who he would be named after. He was named after his father’s father and godfather. James was a total and complete joy to his parents. Since the day of his birth, James was the perfect baby. He did every little thing that his parents could have expected of him. Before long, he slept the entire night through and ate everything and anything they set before him. He was the apple of his father’s eye. It was only a year later when his parents had their second child, Albus. Even though most children didn’t get as much attention whenever their sibling arrived, James still got plenty of love and affection from both of his parents.
He had a regular childhood. When he was old enough to understand who is father was, his parents did their best to explain. James only admired his father more. He was always with his dad. He did everything his father did. He wanted to play quidditch, he wanted to do magic, he wanted to save the world. Of course, not all of that was plausible, but he wanted to try. His sister arrived not long after Albus, and James instantly became attached to his darling sister. Growing up, he was much closer to her than he was Albus, and he tended to tease his younger brother, much to the dislike of his parents. They were a troublesome set of children, and James was definitely his father’s son. There were many obvious traits about James that were clearly from his father. He even looked much like his father, minus a mixture of his parents’ hair.
He started to display his magical abilities when he six or seven. His parents were thrilled, and he simply couldn’t wait to enter Hogwarts. It was his big ambition in life, and he couldn’t wait to go and do his parents proud. Whenever he did go off to Hogwarts, his poor mother nearly had a break down, but he would always remember how proud his father had looked. When he had been sorted into Gryffindor, he felt wonderful, knowing how proud his parents would be.
His years at Hogwarts flew by. Soon, his siblings joined him and he simply went through the years, becoming more skilled during each one. He succeeded in always making his parents proud. He was always accomplishing great things, maybe not as great as his father’s accomplishments, but still. Now, he is in his seventh year, and he aspires to be an auror, like his father. He worries that he won’t make his father proud, even though he knows his father loves him for who he is.
